Failed EE Policy Check, What Does It Mean?

Failed EE Policy Check

As you may be aware sometimes an EE / Orange unlock request may fail and come back with the message “Failed EE Policy Check”
Obviously this is not overly clear so hopefully the following will help explain the reasons behind it.

Firstly all orders on the slower EE services stipulate that the phone has been activated on the network for over 6 months. If it hasn’t the unlock will be rejected and the message will be “Failed EE Policy Check”
Secondly if the phone has been attempted to be unlocked before with EE / Orange and failed it is logged on their system. If a request is put in again using one of the slower EE services for an imei that has already failed before the request will be rejected and again the message will be “Failed EE Policy Check”
Finally if the imei is connected to an account with an unpaid bill of any amount it will also be rejected and again the message will be “Failed EE Policy Check”

The above only applies to requests made on the slower services, none of the above relates to our express 100% service.
This service will unlock any device regardless of activation date as long as the it hasn’t been reported lost or stolen.
